The groundbreaking company Caminos Flamencos is one of the leading and most innovative flamenco troupes on the West Coast. Led by Emmy award–winning artistic director Yaelisa and virtuoso guitarist and musical director Jason McGuire, aka “El Rubio,” the group blends flamenco, Latin and jazz in music and dance with a cast of world-class artists from around the country who are rooted in a variety of musical genres.

The mission of Caminos Flamencos is to create and present contemporary, traditional and theatrical dance programs showcasing artists from Spain and the United States that reflect the changing face of flamenco in the twenty-first century. Their programs seek to preserve the legacy of Spain's rich artistic heritage, and bring them to people of all backgrounds, enriching the lives of people with Spanish and Hispanic ancestry, and the community at large.

The troupe has received numerous accolades, including a prestigious Izzie Dance Award nomination for best show and best company. They have performed at Yoshi's, Angelica's, the New Parish and the Mildred Owen Concert Hall, among many other venues.

The band features Marlon Aldana on percussion and Paul Martin Sounder on upright bass. As one of the most prolific flamenco troupes in the United States, Caminos Flamencos performs for television, orchestra symphonies, film, opera and festivals. They collaborate with a wide range of artists from all genres, including jazz, Latin, rock, blues, classical and folk, as well as some of the best flamenco artists from around the world.

Advance tickets are recommended, as this popular show regularly sells out. All ages welcome!

As part of Café Flamenco, doors open early at 6 pm for guests to enjoy savory Spanish paella prepared by Marcos Quezada of Patatas. Seafood and vegetarian options are available and come served with a side salad for $10 per plate. Beverages and other concessions are also available for purchase.
