
In ‘SUBHUMAN’, Ed tells true tales of his days as a mechanic
aboard a diesel submarine in the Pacific ocean. From a fog-horn’d
hallucination heard as a child on the shores of Lake Erie to alarm
bells in the depths of the blue Pacific, Ed seeks the answer to persistant
question…”How did I get here?”

Ed has performed and taught theater in the bay area for the past 34
years. After his seven year hitch in the Navy Ed followed the GI bill
thru laney Jr College, Cal State Hayward and Mills College (!) and
has performed with the Berkeley Mime Troupe (yes, that kind of mime),
Fratelli Bologna, Antenna Theater, Sf Opera, Oakland Symphony and
for the past 21 years as a performer and director with the San Francisco
Mime Troupe (no, not that kind of mime;sfmt.org), and has written
and directed with the German theater company Theater RAB (random acts
of beauty) which will be performing at Rhythmix Cultural Works Oct
12-13, 2007.
Subhuman has been
performed the past five years at the San Francisco Fringe Festival,
bars and VFW halls around Northern California. Ed has shown up in
small parts on the big screen in The Right Stuff, Howard the Duck,
Golden Gate, Monkey Bone and small parts on the small screen in the
emmey award winning childrens show ‘Rainbows End’. He
has also taught theater movement at ACT, Cal State Hayward, Vista
College, Mills College , numerous workshops for high schools and for
computor animators at Dreamworks, Sony,ILM and Pacific Data Imaging.
Every April First for the past 29 years Ed has led the annual Saint
Stupid’s Day Parade thru the streets of San Francisco.
