A Year Like No Other!
2020 was destined to be Rhythmix Cultural Works’ best year ever!
However, the world had something else in store, and we found ourselves in the midst of a lockdown, re-imagining our role as “Alameda’s Destination for the Arts”.
Although we closed our doors physically, our virtual doors opened wide:
7 PAL recordings, 3 bingos, 7 art exhibits, 1 online auction and 12 music/dance class series later, we are happy to say that 2020 can still be considered Rhythmix best year ever as it proved our resilience during challenging times, solidified staff and board commitment to the organization and strengthened our ties with supporters like you!
BUT, even with our virtual success, Rhythmix is still facing an estimated loss of $70,000 or more in earned revenue from lack of rentals and ticket sales.
We need your help now more than ever to continue making art experiences accessible to our community with big plans on the horizon in 2021!
We are grateful to the Rhythmix Board and Community Advisory Board members who have issued a challenge match of $35,000, which means your donation of any amount will be doubled, going twice as far this year!
