Sandy Walker, painter and printmaker, lives in Oakland, CA. His studio has been located in West Oakland for the last 35 years. He is married to Ellen Webb, a dancer and choreographer, who now manages her dance studio and practices Zen and with whom he has collaborated on many performances. He has two children, Noah and Rosemary. Until the virus came on us, he was drawing once a week from human models, a great and abundant resource in the Bay Area. For many years he has also spent up to three months painting and drawing in remote and natural places. Nature and human beings as well as art history are his main sources of inspiration.
